Debbie Ott, Founder & CEO
Several years back I realized God was calling me to take a different path. I walked away from a 30-year career and began a new journey in the career of coaching. As I began this new journey, I realized I had been coaching people my whole life, through teaching as well as through simple conversation. I found I was always that person people would talk to and often say “I don’t know why I am telling you this”. As I began to enter this new career path, I was saddened by the fact that coaching was only truly available to the wealthy, because of the cost. I believe wholeheartedly that everyone can benefit from working with a coach. Therefore, it needs to be accessible for everyone at an affordable rate. The well watered soul is a non-profit birthed by that belief. Today we are witnessing the effects every day of people being denied the help they need because of high costs and unavailable time slots. Although we are a fledging in the world of non-profits, we are committed to making a presence in the world of mental health. Our counselors and coaches are based throughout the country. Start today and make a difference.
Greg Ott, Secretary
My passion for the well watered soul moves me beyond words on a page and leads me to a spiritual and emotional explanation. As an ordained minister over the past 20 plus years, I have met countless people who have fallen through the cracks of our society, looking, and searching for help often caused by the same society who have left them for invisible. Since the pandemic, the situation has become morecritical, and everyone is talking about it. The well watered soul is committed to join others who want to fill this void in our society. This non-profit meets the criteria for the mental health triage needed in our world today by offering services that are affordable and accessible within 24 hours. My prayer is thatyou become a part of our Mission and help us offer mental health stability, one person at a time.

I heard a voice say, “Whom shall I send?” And I said, “Here am I, send me!” I am from Pittsburgh, PA. I settled in Hampton, VA after retiring from the US Army as a Chief Warrant Officer 4 after serving 28 years. I have a Bachelor’s Degree of Accounting from Troy University. I have one daughter and two grandsons who reside in Detroit, Michigan. I spend my time volunteering for several different organizations to include various ministries in my church, Special Olympics and some military related activities. When I am not serving my community, I love traveling with friends. My desire to work with the well watered soul comes from my deep passion to serve God’s people in any capacity I am able, and because mental illness has personally affected me and my family, I know how very important mental health is needed in this Country.
Teresa Hodgkin, Media Chair
Emotional/mental health care issues know no boundary. Throughout my Human Resources career and life experiences, I have witnessed the need for equitable mental health care. I’ve watched many people struggle to balance the everyday, work, and family life with the financial burden and prolonged delays to address self-care. Creating an environment where anyone can receive initial care with accessible, affordable counseling is key in helping to solve this growing issue. This is the well watered soul's mission. With our services and your support, we can make a difference for those who wouldn’t have the opportunity for a new day, fresh start.
